  • We only access Gmail to delete emails you select

1. Information We Access

When you sign in with Google, we request access to:

  • Gmail Modify Permission: This allows us to move emails to trash or permanently delete them based on your instructions. We cannot read email content - we only see metadata (sender, subject, date) for preview purposes.
  • Basic Profile Information: Your email address and name, used only to identify your session.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your Gmail access exclusively to:

  • Search for emails matching your specified criteria
  • Display preview information (sender, subject, date) so you can verify before deleting
  • Move selected emails to trash or permanently delete them per your request

We do NOT:

  • Read the content/body of your emails
  • Store copies of your emails on our servers
  • Share any email data with third parties
  • Use your data for advertising or marketing
  • Train AI models on your data

3. Data Storage

Bulk Deleter is designed with privacy-first architecture:

  • Authentication tokens are stored encrypted in your browser's session and our server memory only during active use
  • Job history (what you deleted) is stored locally on the server during your session and cleared periodically
  • We don't maintain a user database - we don't store your email address, name, or any personal information long-term
  • All communication uses HTTPS encryption

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • OAuth 2.0 authentication (we never see your Google password)
  • AES encryption for any temporarily stored tokens
  • HTTPS/TLS for all data transmission
  • No third-party analytics or tracking scripts
  • Regular security updates and monitoring

5. Revoking Access

You can revoke Bulk Deleter's access to your Gmail at any time:

  1. Go to Google Account Permissions
  2. Find "Bulk Deleter" in the list
  3. Click "Remove Access"

Once revoked, we immediately lose all ability to access your Gmail.

We use the following third-party services:

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary:

  • Account data: Retained while you use the service, automatically deleted after 1 year of inactivity
  • Job history: Completed jobs are deleted after 7 days; failed jobs after 30 days
  • Job logs: Deleted after 7 days
  • OAuth tokens: Deleted immediately when you disconnect or revoke access

You can delete all your data at any time by clicking "Disconnect" in the app, which removes your account and all associated data from our systems.

8. Children's Privacy

Bulk Deleter is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

Google API

Google API Services Disclosure

Bulk Deleter's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we:

  • Only use Gmail access to provide the email deletion features you request
  • Do not transfer your Gmail data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service
  • Do not use your Gmail data for advertising purposes
  • Do not allow humans to read your email data unless you give explicit consent, it's necessary for security purposes, or required by law
